Since 1999, the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Foundation has provided private support for many different programs and projects in its efforts to preserve and enhance Montana’s natural, cultural and recreational resources. We are a Montana Nonprofit Corporation with IRS 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status. The Board of Directors is the sole authority in managing the affairs of the corporation. The FWP Director, FWP Commission Chair, and the FWP Foundation Liaison serve as non-voting ex-officio board members.
If you have a love of the outdoors, whether it be scenery, pure clean water, hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, state parks, history or geology, know that your participation with the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Foundation is one way you can make a significant difference. While the hunters and anglers are largely responsible for funding Montana Conservation efforts through their licenses and federal excise tax on hunting and fishing gear, we all need to do more. Our foundation was created to help do just that. Join the many who have already answered our call and take an active part in preserving and improving that which is “the Magic of Montana.” We continue to need your help to preserve and protect this great place for future generations.
The mission of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Foundation is to provide private support for preserving and enhancing Montana’s natural, cultural and recreational resources.
The Foundation’s challenge is to provide funds where the need is greatest and where private support will make the critical difference in the success of protecting Montana’s rich natural, cultural and recreational resources. Contributions to the Foundation are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The purpose of the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Foundation, Inc. is to provide private support for the efforts of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Department and to take a leading role in ensuring the protection of Montana’s natural, cultural and recreational resources for future generations.
